Avengers Project
$54,000 for the expansion of three currently operational programs: $39,000
for the expansion of the Wetland Education Program to fourth grade students
in five underserved schools in the City of San Diego, $10,000 for the
expansion of the annual community wide educational event and $5,000 for
expansion of the membership volunteer base of the Friends of the San Diego
River Mouth.

Vista Nature Center
Coastal Resource Conservation Discovery Center
$30,000 for building a signature aquarium at the entry of the Chula Vista
Nature Center featuring endangered Green Sea Turtles.
Laguna Mountain Volunteer Assn. / San Diego Fire Recovery Network
Education
and Volunteer Programs
$15,000 towards the first year operating, staffing, and material expenses
to establish public information & education programs about fire recovery
and protection of San Diego’s natural environment.
San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy
The
San Elijo Lagoon Boardwalk Design and Interpretive Panels Program
$30,000 ($18,000 for operating and $12,000 capital) to complete the design
of a raised boardwalk with interpretive signage to protect sensitive habitat
and increase public awareness.
Tierra Miguel Foundation:
Environmental
Stewardship Program
$40,000 to expand, design and implement agricultural education programs
to improve the environmental health of San Diegans.
Trust for Public Land
San
Dieguito River Park Project
$50,000 to support the significant project expenses related to the acquisition
of five San Dieguito River Park properties.
