• We are grantmakers. Most philanthropic women have been asking for money rather than in the position to give the money away. There are few opportunities in town to be the grantor.
• We have developed a rigorous grants process, which is a source of pride and respect amongst grantmakers. We listen to the community in order to craft the agenda, we execute the process with great integrity and rigor, and we evaluate the impact of our actions on the community, our community partners and our members.
• We are a democratic organization. There are no levels. Everyone has equal status.
