The San Diego Women's Foundation 2007-2008 grants focus area is Civil Society. The goal of the Civil Society grants cycle is to build RESILIENCY of youth living in vulnerable communities of the San Diego region by supporting community action programs which help middle-school-age youth (aproximately 11-13 years old) develop positive skills and behaviors.

The funding priority for this grants cycle EARLY INTERVENTION PROGRAMS that build resiliency through any of the following:

  • Life Skills Building/Social Development
  • Mentoring/Role Modeling/Leader Development

We are in the process of reviewing submitted proposals for this year’s Civil Society granting cycle.  We are no longer accepting additional applications at this time.  Grant awards will be announced May 15,2008 and our Annual Grants Celebration will take place June 3,2008.
