The Programs Committee works to educate, inform and inspire our members and guests through customized programs. This committee works with the Membership Committee to enhance the SDWF experience.
Meetings: First Monday from 12:00PM – 1:00PM

The Membership Committee is responsible for outreach to local women and enhancing the current member experience. The committee provides and promotes engagement opportunities for members and works to build passion and inspiration through their involvement.
Meetings: First Wednesday from 12:00PM – 1:00PM

The Governance Committee advises the Board with respect to the governance of the San Diego Women’s Foundation. This committee maintains the accuracy and effectiveness of bylaws, assesses the strength and performance of the board, and implements the annual nominating process for new board members.
Meetings: Monthly from November- April

The Finance Committee oversees the financial health and management activities of the organization and ensures that appropriate financial information is made available to the Board. The Finance Committee also makes recommendations to the Board regarding financial policies and planning.
Meetings: Quarterly, usually Thursdays or Fridays
Bridget Strickland, Chair and Helena Xu, Vice Chair
The Fellowship Program provides two-year membership scholarships to outstanding women from Community Partner organizations through funding from the Doring Fund. The Fellows Committee is responsible for overseeing the Fellowship Program and application process, as well as providing opportunities for mutual learning exchanges and strengthens the relationship between SDWF and Community Partner organizations.

The Discovery-Inquiry-Guidelines (DIG) team conducts research to select our grants focus area and works with staff to produce the grant guidelines each year.
Meetings: Monthly Wednesdays in the fall, from 1:00PM – 2:00PM
Nancy Britton and Rosette Garcia, Co-Chairs
The Development Committee supports the mission of SDWF through fundraising efforts, working closely with staff leadership to develop and implement plans for sustainability and growth. Development efforts include individual and corporate giving, as well as grant funding.
Meetings: First Monday from 1:00PM – 2:00PM
Michelle Candland, Chair
The Collaboration Committee seeks to increase our impact by partnering with other philanthropic funders. Separate from the annual grants process, investment opportunities are identified by a committee of contributing SDWF members, who pay $500 in additional dues towards the collaborative grants pool.
Meetings: Monthly Fridays from 1:00PM – 2:30PM
