We’re excited to introduce Kelsey Wadman, our final new board member! Kelsey has been a dedicated SDWF member since 2021, and her passion for trust-based philanthropy is evident. We asked Kelsey what she’s most looking forward to this year and what motivated her to join the SDWF Board.
Kelsey shared, "It's such an exciting time to be an SDWF member as we lean into trust-based philanthropy practices! I'm looking forward to distributing unrestricted, multiyear grants to our community partners who are doing the on-the-ground work to care for our community."
When asked what motivated her to join the SDWF Board, Kelsey said, "I so admire the women I've met at SDWF; if there's any way I can contribute to this group, I'm honored and eager to do so. I hope that by being a Board member I can be in service of elevating our work within the larger San Diego community."
We are grateful to have Kelsey, Ellie, TD, and Sabrina joining our board this year and are confident they will do an amazing job!

We’re delighted to introduce TD Smith, one of our four new board members! TD has been a member since 2022 and brings a deep passion for impactful change and diversity to the San Diego Women's Foundation. We asked TD what motivated her to join the SDWF Board.
TD shared, "The opportunity to join the SDWF Board excites me because it allows me to drive impactful change and influence in San Diego County alongside like-minded women. I am also passionate about creating transparency and equal access for women who may not have considered serving on the board before. Being the catalyst for change that could potentially enhance diversity within underrepresented areas is my passion."

Sabrina has been a member since 2022 and is eager to build meaningful relationships with like-minded women from various backgrounds and industries. We asked Sabrina what she’s most looking forward to as she steps into her new role on the SDWF board.
Sabrina shared, "I look forward to new challenges and seeing where I fit by sharing my experiences, exchanging ideas, and offering mutual support. The first year will be like being a sponge, learning as much as possible about the history, mission, values, and what is in store for fiscal year 2025."

We’re thrilled to introduce Ellie Bucklin, one of our four new board members! Ellie has been a dedicated SDWF member since 2022 and was the Most Engaged Member in 2023. We asked Ellie what motivated her to join the SDWF board and what she’s most looking forward to this year.
Ellie shared, "I joined the SDWF board because over the last two years, I have been inspired and motivated by bold changemakers to be a more active participant in addressing current issues impacting our city. I am looking forward to another year of learning from other foundation members and our community partners as we strive to drive a more equitable San Diego."
